Mockup Baker
What is Mockup Baker?
Mockup Baker is a desktop app and a Photoshop plugin that works as a 3D rendering engine. This will help you visualize 3D representations of a mock-up by simply placing custom 2D designs on the right layer in Photoshop.
Why do I need Mockup Baker?
Recently Photoshop disabled the 3D layers support to visualize PSD files as 3D models. The Mockup Baker plugin solves this problem for the mockups made by the original mockup.
How to make the plugin work in Ps
- Find your product mockup. Currently, Mockup baker only works with mockups from originalmockup.
- Download it as PSD file version 23 or later.
- Open your mockup file in Photoshop.
- Run Mockup Baker app.
- Find the layer to change the mockup’s design. Click on it and it opens it in a new tab.
- Insert your design in the layer and go back to the Mockup file tab.
- Bake it: With just one click of the "Bake it" button, your design is rendered into a 3D object.
- Done! In just a few seconds, you'll see your design as a photorealistic 3D model.

Which are the key features of Mockup Baker plugin?
- Enhanced PSD: Mockup Baker turns the 3D model into a lighter PSD file to improve your editing experience.
- Faster rendering: In less than one second, you can see the final result of your design. Ten times faster than with 3D layers.
- Optimized resolution: Mockup Baker handles textures with more than 4K resolution and overcomes the limitation of Photoshop's 3D layers.

- Unwrapping: Get a UV mapping of your 3D mesh and customize your design without cutouts on a 2D canvas.
- Work offline: You don't need an internet connection to work on your mockups. All the information required is included in the PSD file.
- Z-Fighting mitigation: Mockup Baker solves depth problems in objects with close polygons like boxes or notebooks
