Freepik's Advanced Search
What is Freepik's Advance Search?
Freepik's Advanced Search is an exceptional tool that enables you to enhance your content search with Boolean logic. By utilizing operators like quotation marks, plus signs, and minus signs, you can fine-tune your search to include or exclude specific terms, resulting in more precise and relevant outcomes.
How can I search for exact keywords?
Placing quotation marks '' around a search term tells the search engine to look for the exact phrase within the quotes. This is particularly useful when searching for specific images that match the term exactly.
How can I search for images that include a specific item?
Placing a plus sign + before a term guarantees that the search results will feature images containing that specific term. This technique signals to the search engine that the term is crucial to your search criteria.
How can I search for images that don't include a specific item?
Using a minus sign - immediately before a term excludes images with that term from your search results. This is helpful when you want to avoid certain elements that are not relevant to your search.
Can I search for images from a specific author?
To search for content from specific authors, you can use @ symbol followed by the author's name in your search. For example, if you are interested in backgrounds created by these two authors, just type 'background @freepik @pikisuperstar'. This will show you results that belong exclusively to those authors.
If you want to exclude one or more authors, use the '-' sign before the author you want to filter out. For example, if you want to search for backgrounds but exclude those created by Freepik, you can type 'background -@freepik'.
If you also want to exclude another author like Pikisuperstar, you can also add it to the exclusion with 'background -@freepik -@pikisuperstar'.
